In a notification dated June 25th, 2020, the timeline for compliance has been extended till 1st January 2021 The FSSAI has decided to provide additional time to FBOs (Food Business Operators) to renew their registrations, due to the COVID-19 situation. FBO licenses expiring from March 22nd -May 31st can now be renewed by 30th June, without any late fee. What is FSSAI? Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health & Welfare, Govt. of India. FSSAI ensures safety and reliability to consumers on the consumption of drinks and food products which are sold in the market.
