Form 10FA – Certificate of Residence

How to Apply for a Form 10FA?

Suppose you are an individual who wants to live in India permanently. In that case, you will need to apply for a 10FA (certificate of residence).

To apply for a 10FA, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Your passport or ID card
  • A copy of your current visa or residence permit 
  • A completed application form 
  • Two passport-sized photographs
  • The application fee

Procedures for Cancelling/Withdrawing a Form 10FA Application

To cancel your 10FA application, you must first write to the Indian Embassy or High Commission in your country of residence. You should include a letter stating your reasons for wanting to cancel your 10FA application and a copy of your passport/ID card.
