The last date for PAN-Aadhaar linking has been extended by the government. As per the revised notification in June 2020, the PAN-Aadhaar linking deadline has been extended till March 31, 2021. The previous deadline was June 30, 2020. The 12-digit unique identity, Aadhaar number, was declared constitutionally valid by the Supreme Court (SC) a couple of years ago. According to the apex court verdict, Aadhaar number has to be mandatorily linked with PAN, you also need to quote it while filing your income tax return (ITR), applying for new PAN card and to avail various subsidies from the central and state governments for e.g. LPG subsidy, pension etc. Every Indian citizen needs an Aadhaar card to enjoy some welfare facilities provided by the Indian Government. This document acts as an address proof and identity proof for an individual. Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification number which is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Once a person enrols for the Aadhaar card by visiting the concerned Aadhaar centres or bank or post-offices, he/she can download and print the UIDAI Aadhaar by using the Aadhaar number or VID provided by the UIDAI. Check your Address update status using the URN (Update Request Number) in eaadhaar uidai.gov.in Download Aadhaar card by Aadhaar number Step 1– Visit the official website of Aadhaar i.e. https://uidai.gov.in/ Step 2– Click on the option ‘Download Aadhaar’ or visit the link https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ Step 3– Select the “Aadhaar” option which is under “I have” section. Step 4– Enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number. One can select the “masked Aadhaar” option if they do not want to show the full digits of their Aadhaar number. Step 5– Enter the Captcha verification code and click “Send OTP” option to get the one-time password (OTP) on the registered mobile number. Step 6– Enter the OTP which is received on the mobile number. Step 7– Complete the survey given and click “verify and download” to download the eAadhaar card. Get Online GST Registration Download eAadhaar card by Virtual ID (VID) Downloading the Aadhaar number through the Virtual ID is the new addition to UIDAI’s portal for the Aadhaar download. Below mentioned steps should be followed to download the Aadhaar card using the virtual ID online. Step 1– Visit the online portal of UIDAI. Step 2– Click on “Download Aadhaar”. Step 3– Select the VID option from the “I have” section. Step 4- Enter the virtual ID, full name, security code and pin code. Step 5– Now click on “send OTP” to generate the OTP. Step 6– Along with this, one can also use the TOTP feature to authenticate their request. Step 7– e-Aadhaar will be downloaded to the system directly. Step 8– One can access it by entering their Aadhaar card password. Step 9- Enter the eight-digit password to open the PDF file i.e. first four letters of your name in capital letter and year of birth. Getting e-Aadhaar card without registered mobile number Without the registered mobile number, one cannot get their Aadhaar online. One can get it offline by following the below-mentioned steps to get their Aadhaar without registered mobile numbers. Step 1– Visit the nearest Aadhaar centre with the Aadhaar number. Step 2– Provide them with the necessary bio-metric details for verification such as thumb verification, retina scan, etc. Step 3– Along with this, carry other identity proofs such as PAN card, identity card etc. Step 4– The concerned person at the centre will give the print out of the Aadhaar. Steps to Download eAadhaar through Umang App For downloading the Aadhaar through Umang app applicants should follow this simple process which is mentioned below- Step 1– Download the Umang App and open it. Step 2- Click on the “Aadhaar Card” under all services tab. Step 3– Click on the “view Aadhaar card from the DigiLocker”. Step 4– Login with the DigiLocker account or with the Aadhaar number. Step 5– Enter the OTP which is received on the registered mobile number. Step 6- Click on “verify OTP”. Step 7– Now one can download their Adhar by clicking on the download icon. Know the Aadhaar number on Mobile If one wants to get their Aadhaar on mobile, they need to follow the below-mentioned steps. Step 1– Visit the official website of UIDAI. Step 2– Enter the 14-digit Enrolment ID and the date and time of the enrolment mentioned on the acknowledgement slip. Step 3– Enter the registered mobile number and security code. Step 4– Now click on the “Send OTP” tab to process further. Step 5– A 6-digit OTP will be received on the registered mobile number. Step 6- Enter the “OTP” which has been sent and click on the “submit” button. Step 7- Aadhaar number will be received on the registered mobile number as a text message. One has to enter the 8-digit password to open their e-Aadhaar letter. The password consists of the first four letters of the name and the year of birth. After Aadhaar card is downloaded in the pdf format from the UIDAI’s website one can print their Aadhar card online.
