As a seller or service provider, it is mandatory to register for the GST if your business has a turnover of above Rs.40 lakhs [if you sell physical goods] or more than Rs.20 lakhs if you supply services.

  • Visit the Goods and Service Tax (GST) portal and click on the login button in the top right corner.
  • A new page opens up where you need to log in using the credentials.
  • Another page opens up for your GST account. On this page, in the tabs, click on the ‘Services’ option.
  • In the dropdown menu, under the ‘User Services’ tab, click on the view/download certificate for the GST registration certificate download.
  • Further, on the next page, a table with the date of issue and download button for the certificate is provided. The GST registration certificate can be downloaded from there.
  • After clicking on the download button, you have the option to either open it or download it. Download Pdf of GST Registration Certificate click on the ‘Save’ option.

The Goods and Services Tax registration certificate contains 3 pages which include the following GST registration details:

  • The legal name (of individual/company)
  • The trade name (if any)
  • The type/form of business
  • The address of the place of business/individual’s address

  • The second page named ‘Annexure A’ contains the additional place of business, eg, godown or storage place from where the business is carried out apart from the main office.

  • Bank account number and details
  • Letter of authorization as issued by the authorized signatory
  • The digital signature of the person who has to get the GST registration certificate by GST number.
  • Incorporation certificate for companies.
  • Other important and legal documents as per the requirements that need to be filled in during the registration process.
