  1. In case you don’t have a valid ID/Address proof, you can update the Aadhaar using an authentication letter from a verifier.

  3. In such cases, their address proof can be used as a document for authentication. Such certificates used in places wherein you don’t have another ID proof is called Address Validation Letter. 
  4. Such letters will contain a secret code and will be sent to the verifier’s address. Also, in such cases, both the parties must have updated mobile numbers on their Aadhaar card.
  5. If the verifier does not give the necessary consent before the due date, the request will be invalid, and the process will have to be repeated. 
  6. You can request for an Address Validation Letter through the Aadhaar Self Service Portal.
